Terms & Conditions

We get it—no one loves reading terms and conditions. But hey, everyone needs them!  Payment Terms

  • A 40% deposit is required upon project initiation.

  • A 40% progress payment will be invoiced at a mutually agreed milestone.

  • The remaining 20% balance is due upon project completion.

Exclusions

Unless specifically agreed upon in the project scope, the following services are not included:

  • Domain registration, transfer, renewal, configuration, or support.

  • Website hosting, transfer, configuration, maintenance, or support.

  • Website content creation, updates, posting, backup, storage, or restoration.

  • Social media setup, maintenance, posting, or support.

  • Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) or Search Engine Marketing (SEM).

  • Email hosting, transfer, configuration, device setup, maintenance, or support.

  • Photography, illustrations, branding, or other image manipulation or processing.

  • Training for the use of tools, platforms, or systems.

  • Setup, configuration, or management of computer systems, servers, firewalls, or other devices..

Pricing and GST

  • All prices are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD) and exclude GST, unless otherwise stated.

  • If the Client has been quoted under Cue Lantern's not-for-profit pricing tier, the Client agrees to acknowledge Cue Lantern as a sponsor, supporter, or partner in applicable marketing materials, including but not limited to the Client’s website, social media, or other promotional content, where appropriate.

Client Responsibilities

  • The client is responsible for providing all necessary materials, content, and approvals required to complete the project on time. Delays in providing these may result in timeline extensions or additional fees.

Ownership of Products

  • All products, designs, and deliverables remain the property of Cue Lantern until payment is received in full.

 Intellectual Property

  • All materials provided by the client are assumed to be owned by the client and free of copyright restrictions. Cue Lantern accepts no responsibility for copyright breaches related to client-supplied materials.

  • Upon full payment, ownership of the final deliverables transfers to the client. 

 Revisions and Changes

  • Project fees include a maximum of 2 revision rounds (as specified in the project scope). Additional revisions or scope changes will be charged at an hourly rate of $100/hour.

Cancellation Policy

  • If the client chooses to cancel the project after commencement, the initial deposit is non-refundable. Any work completed beyond the deposit will be invoiced accordingly.

Confidentiality

  • Cue Lantern respects the confidentiality of all client information. Any materials or details shared during the project will be treated with the utmost care and will not be disclosed to third parties without prior consent.

Portfolio and Marketing

  • Cue Lantern reserves the right to use completed projects for portfolio, marketing, and promotional purposes, unless explicitly prohibited by a signed confidentiality agreement.

Liability

  • Cue Lantern will not be held liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from the use or inability to use the final deliverables, including but not limited to financial losses, data loss, or reputational damage.

  • While every effort is made to ensure project accuracy, the client is responsible for reviewing and approving all deliverables before finalisation.

External Factors Beyond Control

  • Cue Lantern is not liable for delays or failure to deliver services caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, such as natural disasters, pandemics, or technical disruptions.

Governing Law

  • These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Western Australia. Any disputes will be resolved under the jurisdiction of Western Australian courts.

Amendments

  • Cue Lantern reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of significant changes prior to their implementation.
